Choosing the right industrial floor for wash-down environments

Epoxy, polyurethane or bare concrete? A practical comparison for processing plants and chillers.
Wash-down environments punish floors with thermal shock, chemicals and constant moisture. Standard epoxy systems often fail within a few years under those conditions.
Jointless polyurethane toppings handle thermal cycling far better and can be laid with integral coving to remove bacteria traps at wall junctions.
Whatever the topping, the substrate does the real work: falls to drain, joint layout and slab preparation determine how long the system lasts.
