Cold storage projects fail on programme far more often than they fail on cost. The critical path almost always runs through refrigeration procurement and commissioning, not the base build.

Order long-lead plant before the slab is poured, protect freezer floors with under-slab heating from the outset, and reserve a realistic pull-down and testing window.
